ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
This year, MFB is celebrating two significant milestones relating to women’s contribution to fire and rescue services: 30 years of female firefighters and 35 years of women in operational communications.
In recognition, MFB has completed an oral history project to develop a travelling and online exhibition documenting this aspect of our history. This website complements the travelling exhibition, which will travel around Melbourne from October 2018.
The exhibition highlights the positive contribution operational women have made to MFB, and captures how women and men have worked together to make MFB the great organisation it is today.
